Kerala University to Host World Seminar on Hadith

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Kerala University will be hosting a five-day international seminar on Hadith starting from February 14 to be attended by leading Islamic scholars and academics from various countries.Organized by the Arabic Department of the university, the seminar will focus on the language, philosophy and teachings of Hadith, which records the biography, history and the life of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).It will also focus on the language, syntax, philosophy and teachings of Hadith. More than 100 scholars from countries like Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Qatar, UAE, Jordan, Turkey, Pakistan and Malaysia are expected to turn up for the event.The themes of the seminar include: Language of Hadith, Style, narrations and Semiotics of Hadith, Approaches to Hadith, Interpretations of Hadith and their ages, Translations in world languages including Indian languages and Malayalam, Philosophy and knowledge provided by Hadith, Reporting and authenticity of Hadith, Cyber versions and Online Hadith, Post 9/11 and the spread of Quran and Hadith in West, Contemporary explanation and modern epistemology on Hadith, Attempts of additions and distortion – fake Hadith versions and Quran and Hadiths relations. /129
